The security team at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2) comprises aviation security operatives of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL) and men of the Nigerian Police Force.

The efforts put in place by the security team include constant and regular patrol of the terminal round the clock. This is to ensure the arrest and prosecution of touts and to check other criminal activities within and around the terminal. Also, the terminal is adequately covered with CCTV cameras thus all movements within the terminal are monitored.

To ensure safety at the car ark, the area is constantly monitored by both human and electronic surveillance. Minimum waiting time is enforced at the drop-off and pick-up zones to ensure free flow of traffic.

Within the terminal building, all check-in counters and ticket sales offices are well protected and proper access control is in place so that only those who have authorized access are granted entry into restricted areas. All abandoned baggage will be destroyed by security operatives after repeated announcement, to ensure overall safety.

With the above stated efforts, all vulnerable points are well protected to ensure the total safety of all staff, travelers and visitors to MMA2.
